Cameroon – Presidency: Where did Paul Biya go after Italy?

According to La Nouvelle Expression, the presidential couple is in Switzerland.

Left from Cameroon on March 18, 2017, Paul Biya made a state visit to Italy from the 20th to the 22nd of the same month. But since then, the Head of State is nowhere to be found. As a result, La Nouvelle Expression (LNE) on the newsstand on March 31 wonders where the tenant of Etoudi is.

While Cameroonians expected him to come down from the airport with his gold medal discerned by the University of Rome Tor vergata, it is rather a plane carrying the other members of the delegation that landed in Yaounde. On board, the ministers Lejeune Mbella Mbella (External Relations), Louis Paul Motaze (Economy, Planning and Regional Development), Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi (Public Works) and Jacques Fame Ndongo (Higher Education), “reports our colleague.

The aircraft also carried other personalities, including advisers, ministers of mission and the deputy director of the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency. LNE notes that there was no trace of Paul and Chantal Biya or their destination.

A taboo subject at the Etoudi Palace, the paper said. “At the Presidency of the Republic, we are not much talkative about where Paul Biya might be. Of all the sources contacted, no one wanted to express themselves on the subject, “writes the private daily which indicates however that” confidential sources have entrusted that the presidential couple rests in Geneva “.
