According to our sources, Hugo Broos, head coach of Cameroon’s national football team, Blaise Moussa and Tombi A Roko, general secretary and president of the Cameroonian Football Federation, have been in the Ministry of Sports And physical education since 11.30am on Tuesday 4 April 2017  for a meeting with Pierre Ismaël Bidoung Kpwatt, the sports minister. As announced last Sunday here, the scandal of unpaid invoices registered in the lair of the indomitable Lions at the recent training course blocked in Brussels in Belgium, is the main subject on the agenda of this meeting.

But they will also talk about the future of the coach champion of Africa two months ago in Gabon with the Indomitable Lions. Very much in demand since the end of the AFCON Gabon 2017, Hugo Broos is tempted by an experience in South Africa and Ghana. These two countries are looking for a new head coach for their respective pennant selection. And the current coach of the selection of Cameroon has applied for the Bafana-Bafana and the Black stars.

They were both still in Brussels. President Tombi has proposed to Hugo Broos to extend at least one year his contract which ends next year. The president also advised Broos of the possibility of raising his salary. In response, Hugo Broos said he could not renew his contract in the current context. He hoped that the debate on the subject would be postponed. For me, this is proof that he is preparing a blow, there is a good chance that he will leave, “informs a source close to the issue in  the FECAFOOT.

The sports minister will also try to put pressure on Hugo Broos to agree to continue his lease with the indomitable Lions. “We need Hugo Broos to remain at the head of this team,” said Alioum Alhadji, vice-president of FECAFOOT, in the aftermath of the Belgian technician’s press conference on team management failures Of Cameroon.
