Khloe Kardashian is allegedly in danger of “going broke” after spending thousands on her new romance with her basketball star boyfriend Tristan Thompson.
According to reports, Kardashian has been dropping serious amounts of cash when it comes to dating Thompson and sources are alleging that her family are worried that Khloe could be spending way more than she’s bringing in.
“If she keeps this up, she’ll go broke,” an insider alleged to Radar Online of Khloe’s spending habits, claiming she’s spending around $50,000 a week (that’s about £39,000) on Thompson and their life in Cleveland, Ohio.
The source is claiming that Kardashian forks out the serious cash on things like private jets to go to and from LA to see her man and supposedly “feels like she needs to drop big bucks” to keep their relationship going by shelling out for fancy dinners, jewellery and more.
Notably, Tristan isn’t exactly broke as Celebrity Net Worth claims he’s worth around $8 million (£6.2 million) and has an annual salary of around $5 million (£3.9 million) playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
But while the basketball star is pretty loaded himself, Radar Online claimed that Thompson is much more careful with his money than his girlfriend.
“Tristan makes way more than she does, but he never spends a dime,” the source alleged, claiming that their spending habits as a couple are “completely lopsided.”
Khloe hasn’t spoken out about the money woe claims, though Kardashian has confirmed that she spends a whole lot of time in Ohio with her boyfriend of around 8 months.
“Everyone is so nice there. It’s a normal routine life,” Kardashian said of her life with Tristan away from her family in California during a recent appearance on The Talk. “I love to cook, so I get to cook dinner every day. It’s… this home, family thing that I’ve been craving that I get to have in Cleveland.”
“I feel really happy and secure, and I’m just in a really positive, healthy relationship,” she added.
