Cameroon: Inspector of State Cornelius Chi Asafor appointed by presidential decree in the office of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism.

A presidential decree that falls less than two days of the installation of the members of this commission.

The President of the Republic signed and issued yesterday Tuesday, April 25, 2017, a decree appointing Chi Asafor Cornelius as Secretary General of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism.

State Inspector Cornelius Chi Asafor was for a long time Inspector General of the Upper State Control.

This appointment completes the office established since March 15, 2017 by two presidential decrees appointing the president, the vice-president and the members of this commission.

The chairman of the commission, the former prime minister, Peter Mafany Musonge, aged 74 and his collaborators will be installed tomorrow Thursday 27 April 2017 at the Congress Hall in Yaoundé.

The creation of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism is one of the government’s responses to English-language claims. Claims that plunged the Southwest and Northwest Regions into a serious socio-political crisis that has lasted six months.
