In Cameroon, talking about the sexual scandals of Samuel Eto’o, is now dangerous for journalists, one of which has just been suspended for a period of three months.
Serge Sabouang Yen, of the newspaper “La Nation d’Afrique“, was suspended for three months by the National Communication Council (NCC). The disciplinary sanction of the NCC did not stop at the author of the article.
The heavy hand of the NCC, also suspended for the same duration, its editor and the press organ.
The body in charge of the regulation of the media in Cameroon, seized by the lawyer of the former captain of the indomitable Lions, accuses the journalist of having dealt with the subject related to mores, of the former Cameroonian goleador in Gabon.
Precisely, according to this newspaper, a so-called “sexual scandal” involving a lady from the Gabonese presidency, would be at the origin of the “quarrel” between Samuel Eto’o and the Gabonese president Ali Bongo Ondimba.
What would have made “difficult” the entry of Eto’o in Gabon for the final of the last edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The case has been widely relayed on social networks. Eto’o denied that he was “undesirable” at his “big brother” Ali Bongo Ondimba, where, contrary to their habits, no one saw the two “friends” posing together in a photo during the competition.
