The meeting, which will be held under the chairmanship of the party chairman, will be extended to mayors, deputies, senators and members of the National Advisory Council.
The Social Democratic Front (SDF) has just convened for Saturday, October 28, 2017 the members of its National Executive Committee. In a press release issued on October 23, the secretary general of the SDF, Senator Tsomalou Jean, indicates that the important ordinary meeting will be held in Bamenda under the chairmanship of the chairman of the party, Ni John Fru Ndi.
Without revealing the various points that will be debated at the meeting, Senator Tsomalou Jean, noted that the important meeting will be extended to the elected SDF and members of the National Advisory Council (NAC) of the political party.
One can well imagine that Cameroonian news and especially the Anglophone crisis will be on the agenda of the meeting of the SDF. The party will also be able to take stock of the Douala demonstration in solidarity with compatriots from the English-speaking regions; demonstration that was repressed by law enforcement.
The Congress of the Social Democratic Front, scheduled for October 27 but postponed “at a later date,” could also be the focus of next Saturday’s meeting. According to a statement recently issued by the SDF, the postponement of this congress follows the violence that took place in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon on the weekend of October 1st.
