Cameroonian startup Will & Brothers officially presents to the government the first drones “made in Cameroon”

The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Minette Libom Li Likeng, presided this February 2 in Yaoundé, the official ceremony of presentation of the first drones “made in Cameroon”.

The drones are a concept of the Cameroonian startup “Will & Brothers” by William Elong (photo), one of the projects “Drone Africa” specializes in the design, assembly and marketing of drones in Cameroon and Africa.

In addition to this official presentation, technical demonstrations are planned, followed by “B to B” networking  sessions. This ceremony was in line with the actions undertaken by the Cameroonian government to support initiatives in the field of the digital economy.

In 2017, the Cameroonian start-up “Will & Brothers” raised $ 200,000 (about 105 million CFA francs) in financing after a fundraising operation. This, to implement a drone production project in Cameroon. Wiliam Elong, 25, is in 7th place in the top 30 most promising young African entrepreneurs in 2016, ranking published by the famous American magazine Forbes.
