Anglophone crisis: “The DO of Batibo is not dead…show his dead body to prove us wrong” – says Issa Tchiroma

The Government member further states that all that people say about the death of DO Marcel Namata Diteng, is “literature”. According to Minister Issa Tchiroma, those who announce his death must show his body. “The DO is not dead,” he concludes.

Since February 11, 2018, the Batibo subdivision which is located at about twenty kilometers from the city of Bamenda, is deprived of its chief of district. Marcel Namata Diteng was kidnapped Sunday by gunmen as he chaired the 52nd National Youth Day. Since his kidnapping on February 11 around 10:30 am, images and information circulate on social networks announce that he was executed by his captors.
