The National Social Insurance Fund (Cnps) informs that, as of March 2018, it will experiment with the e-payment of social benefits, through the Social Welfare Center (CPS) of Yaounde-independence. It is one of its six operational structures in the Cameroonian capital.
The test of payment via the mobile phone will be internal at first, says the Cnps. In practical terms, it will be for beneficiaries of family allowances, who are posted in the central services and at the CPS Yaounde-independence, who wish to be paid for their services by MTN’s Mobile Money transfer, simply to express their interest of their ticket. The lists of volunteers are expected until Wednesday, February 28, 2018, to facilitate the procedure.
According to the Cnps, this other technological innovation is part of the ongoing process of modernization and digitization of the public body in charge of social benefits in Cameroon.
