A few days before the friendly match Kuwait – Cameroon on March 25, the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) has released its ranking of the best football nations of the planet in March 2018. For the second month in a row, Cameroon ranks 51st in the world and 6th in Africa. A status quo that is explained by the fact that the last two months had no Fifa campaign.
With the series of friendly matches that are coming, there is no doubt that this ranking will change. The team of interim coach Alexandre Belinga will have a lot to do to move up the standings, one year to the Africa Cup of Nations that Cameroon will host in 2019.
For the rest, we note that the African ranking is still dominated by Tunisia, which ranks 23rd overall, followed by Senegal 27th, DRC 39th, and Morocco 42nd. At the global level, the top five nations are Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and Belgium.
